The following information is a description of the production requirements for a performance of our new show, Collaborator

Note: As with all devised work the show is constantly changing and improving. This is a first draft of our technical rider before we open the show.

Whilst we have tried to ensure the accuracy of all information, please check first.

Staffing and schedule:

  • We require the venue to prepare a clear and tidy stage.
  • We require a clear black box space with standard legs and masking, we will agree/hang additional venue masking of legs and borders as we set up
  • We require the venue to provide a grey dance floor
  • We would like to use the venues white cyc.
  • We require a minimum of 3 multi-skilled/all-rounder technicians for get in and get out, with good sound and Lx knowledge.
  • At least 1 technician should be a flyperson in counterweight flying houses, if your venue require 2 people for flying then we need 4 x multi-skilled/all-rounder technicians to leave 2 ground based.
  • Please advise us if your venue has particular staffing requirements that we may not have considered. For instance; additional staffing required for tallescope / access equipment use etc
  • We may choose to stagger the lunchtime breaks of the lighting and stage

departments if this serves the process better. We will aim to advise this at the

beginning of the fit-up

  • We require a minimum of 1.5 days to get in, opening on the evening of day 2 (so 5 sessions for get in) Day 1- 10am-10pm/ day 2 access from 10am onwards.
  • Get out takes approx. 2.5 hours
  • Exact schedule will be tailored and discussed to allow for venue specific details
  • Show running time: 1 hour no interval.
  • N/B On the day of the second show or subsequent show days we require access to the stage 3 hours before curtain up for warm up/practice etc as this is a high energy and physical show, we only need working light until duty tech time/show call commences,

Do let us know if any technical charges would be incurred for the fit-up sessions/ stage access and the get out as we need to know this at contract stage.

Stage department

  • Playing area – 8m wide x 8 m deep x 6m high clear space min (width and height can be discussed)

  • The truss creates a rectangle of 10.8m(wide) x 4.8m(depth) x 5.5m(high to the underside)
  • All aerial apparatus is suspended from Ockham’s Razor truss and we provide all equipment to rig.
  • Our aerial structure height is ideally 6m but this can be discussed.

Rigging

All performance rigging happens from our truss and has been worked out prior

to arriving. We require the following to lift and secure the truss:

  • The structure is raised using 2 x 10m chain hoists which we tour. Ideally 2 suitable points (Each 275Kg WLL minimum) from which to rig chain hoists.

Rigging points need to be approx. 10m apart, exact positions to be discussed and drawn onto the plan

  • We tour a ground supported, free standing Prolyte H30v truss structure
  • The total weight of the truss, including rigging and drapes is approximately

550Kg

  • Including 2 performers with all set and rigging this increases to approx. 750Kg.
  • We will arrive with the truss in 2m or 4m sections. Please confirm that the load in

route to stage can accommodate this

  • If there are no suitable overhead points there are options to lift the truss from the ground, but this requires the hire of suitable lifts.
